  Not your typical south west winery. We were greeted at the front of the tasting shed by Kira their loud, but friendly Maremma Sheepdog. The friendly reception continued with Mario pouring our first sample before we even reached the counter. The down to earth atmosphere was a pleasant change from the usual flashy wineries that lack the personal touch. The wine range was smaller than some, but this has resulted in more effort spent on the wines they do produce. Being towards the end of our two days of winery visits, they still managed to impress us with their wines. Put this place on your itinerary - it's great the see that this type of friendly business still exists in this day & age.

  Loved this small, no frills winery! Excellent and very friendly service by owner himself. Limited range of wines available but enough if you want quality. Wonderful reds! Their 2013 Merlot was delicious, but the 2010 was phenomenal and well-priced. We especially liked their commitment to sustainable farming. We had a great wine tasting experience with Mario and can’t wait to go back. McLeod Creek Wines is a gem and a must-stop for all red wine lovers...
